Steinway-Trail in Harz

Happy New Year!

We should start our activities this year with a hike that got its name from the famous piano constructor Steinweg, who was born in Wolfshagen in the Harz in 1797 and his factory in Braunschweig is still producing luxurious pianos.

The total distance of this hike is about 15km, it starts from Wolfshagen, it goes through the forest to the lake of Innerstestausee and continues to Seesen, where the Municipal Museum Seesen offers a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of the Steinways.
From Seesen we should take the train back to Goslar.

Hiking boots and warm layers are recommended.

Our main stop should be at Wandererhütte "Neckelnberg" for lunch or just a coffee.
