### Day 1 • Phoenix, Arizona

Fly to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX). Transfer by hotel courtesy shuttle to your hotel. Shuttles are available from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Rooms are available for check-in after 3:00 p.m.
Join Caravan for a 6:00 p.m. welcome briefing.

### Day 2 • Sedona, Grand Canyon

Drive through Scottsdale and along Camelback Mountain on your morning sightseeing, with a brief sightseeing drive thru Old Scottsdale. Then visit Montezuma Castle, site of 12th and 13th century cliff dwellings. Continue to the artist colony of Sedona, surrounded by towering red rock formations. You have free time in Sedona to explore galleries, shops, and restaurants. Continue to the Grand Canyon for a relaxing two-night stay. Your lodge is inside the Grand Canyon National Park, near the South Rim. Elevation at the South Rim averages 7,000 feet. Dinner tonight.

### Day 3 • Grand Canyon National Park

Entire day to explore the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Almost 280 miles long, the Grand Canyon varies in width from one to eighteen miles, with the Colorado River winding far below. Morning orientation drive of the Grand Canyon. Visit Desert View Lookout. The rest of your day is at leisure to enjoy Grand Canyon National Park. Relax and enjoy Grand Canyon vistas, or attend a park ranger talk. Free shuttles take you to the many lookout points on the West Rim. Free time to visit historic Grand Canyon Park buildings such as Hopi House and Lookout Studio. Hike deep into the canyon on Bright Angel Trail, or enjoy less rigorous activities offered along the rim trails, including bike rentals. Your two night stay inside Grand Canyon National Park allows enough time for a comprehensive visit. Best of all, you will enjoy two opportunities to see Grand Canyon sunsets and sunrises.

### Day 4 • Monument Valley, Jeep Tour

Drive along the scenic East Rim of the Grand Canyon. Then, visit a Navajo and Hopi Trading Post. Here, you will find a large selection of high-quality Hopi Kachina dolls and fine Native American jewelry and handicrafts. Next, drive through the Hopi Nation to the Navajo Nation. Enjoy a Navajo guided jeep tour of the restricted backcountry of Monument Valley, a beautiful, pristine area of buttes and arches. Then, to Lake Powell Resort on the shores of picturesque Lake Powell. Enjoy a relaxing two-night stay.

### Day 5 • Lake Powell Boat Ride, Antelope Slot Canyon, Horseshoe Bend

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your resort’s famous Rainbow Room with 180 degree sweeping views of Lake Powell. Your resort is in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, where you are surrounded by geologic wonders. After breakfast, drive to the nearby town of Page. Join Chief Tsosie’s Navajo guides on a journey to the Navajo Nation to explore Upper Antelope Slot Canyon. Shaped over millions of years by water and wind erosion, Antelope Canyon is considered a spiritual and sacred place. The interplay of light, color and shadows creates an ever-changing palette on the Navajo sandstone. Your tour is scheduled at the ideal time for photography. (The visit to Upper Antelope Slot Canyon is not recommended for those unable to ascend and descend walkways and stairs on a one-half mile walk from and to the tour vehicle.) Return to your resort for leisure time, or join an included optional visit to Horseshoe Bend to see the 270-degree turn in the Colorado River carved over millions of years. A leisurely 20 minute accessible hike brings you to this magnificent overlook. Later this afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat cruise on Lake Powell.

### Day 6 • Bryce Canyon National Park

Enjoy breakfast in the Rainbow Room. Then, drive to Kanab, known as Little Hollywood. Over 100 western movies and TV shows were filmed here including “Gunsmoke,” “The Lone Ranger,” “Wagon Train,” and “How the West Was Won.” Next visit Bryce Canyon. See the Bryce “Hoodoos,” fantastic red, orange, and pink limestone spirals. Stop at Bryce Point and Sunrise Point, overlooking Bryce Amphitheater. Continue to your resort near Zion National Park for a two-night stay.

### Day 7 • Zion National Park

Today, enjoy a tour of Zion National Park. See a wonderland of rock monoliths. Zion features stunning scenery found nowhere else. Zion is a geological showplace with sandstone cliffs among the highest in the world. Early settlers were so inspired by Zion’s beauty that they bestowed exalted names on the park’s natural features, including East Temple, the Court of the Patriarchs, and the Great White Throne. Afternoon at leisure to relax in this magnificent setting or pursue park activities. Shuttles are available if you need additional time to explore the Park’s scenic walking trails. Dinner tonight.

### Day 8 • Zion Park Area to Las Vegas, Nevada

After breakfast, Caravan transfers you to Las Vegas, Nevada. Enjoy a brief sightseeing drive of the dazzling Las Vegas strip. Arrive at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) at 11 a.m.

Meals included in the land price are indicated by - B (Breakfast), L (Lunch), D (Dinner). Dinner, when included, is served at our hotel except when, as indicated in the itinerary, it is at a special restaurant outside the hotel. Coffee or tea is provided at all included meals. Free bottled water is provided on the motorcoach. Alcoholic beverages are not included unless specified.

Usually, you find a mix of different age adult travelers on a Tour. (Our trip is in May when school is still in session.)

### A Well-Paced Itinerary

A well-paced and unhurried itinerary is the goal, after all, you are on vacation! Touring days begin and end at reasonable hours and include frequent stops. While the occasional early morning departure is necessary, they do their best to ensure a leisurely vacation.

### Size of Tour Group

Group sizes will vary depending on the reserved rooms at the hotels and the capacity of the boats and motorcoaches used. Usually, group sizes range from 30 to 44 passengers.

### Many Tours Sell Out Each Year

The farther in advance that you book, the more likely it is that our preferred tour will be open. (My husband and I missed the booking window one year and had to wait til the next year because they had indeed sold out quickly).
