Springtime Maumee Bay State Park

Join us at Maumee Bay for spring bird migration. Yes, I will admit this is primarily a birding campout but No matter your interests, this park can deliver! Camping, biking, hiking/walking, swimming, fishing, boating, pickleball, and golfing (18-hole, par 72). There is also a Lodge for those not quite ready to camp.

For those interested in birdwatching we will be spending time at Magee Marsh, Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, Metzger and Howard Marshes.

Spring and fall migrations are spectacular at Magee Marsh, with more than 300 species of birds being recorded in the area. Bald eagles, owls, osprey, and a large variety of hawks can be seen at Magee Marsh during the spring and more than 150 species of migrating songbirds, including 36 species of warblers have been seen.

We will also have activities (to be determined) for non-birders, games and group campfires.
