We're a community of people who love marionette theater and want to explore what's possible with string puppets. Whether you've been performing with marionettes for years or you're just curious about how they work, there's a place for you here. We get together to share techniques, troubleshoot tricky puppet mechanics, watch performances, and just talk about what draws us to this particular art form.
Our meetings are pretty informal. Sometimes we'll have someone demonstrate a specific skill or walk through their puppet-building process. Other times we'll gather to work on a collaborative piece or just hang out with our puppets and see what happens. We're interested in all styles of marionette work, from traditional approaches to experimental stuff that pushes the boundaries of what puppets can do.
If you make marionettes, perform with them, or have always wanted to give it a try, come join us. No experience necessary.
