Let's make new friends as we hurdle towards middle age.
About Us: We're into uncomplicated meetups. Attend patio meals, coffee & crafting, or extremely casual tabletop gaming. We know how to Zoom and so should you. Basically, we like events that allow us to talk about Oregon Trail, pogs and Labyrinth. A group geared towards children of the 80s who are kinda geeky or at least mildly weird.
A Perfect Meetup: We meet for ice cream after work and talk about our favorite road trip or comic convention, maybe we play a game of Exploding Kittens. Since we are internet strangers that’s it, that’s all that happens.

Online Storytime - The Bridge of San Luis Rey
·OnlineOnlineA "philosophical fiction" classic, The Bridge of San Luis Rey won the Pulitzer in 1928 and is only about 170 pages long (depending on the edition).
This is quite a different pick for our online book club, but I thought I'd mix it up. At least we'll have something to talk about if we don't like a Pulitzer winner.
The Goodreads synopsis online contains major spoilers! Beware.
I did some research about the book, it contains tragedy and violence but ultimately it's supposed to be about love and connection. Because its a classic, most descriptions contain spoilers, so be careful.
It's ok to attend if you didn't finish the book, but spoilers including the ending will be discussed.
