Coastal Hike: Folkestone to Dover
Details
This weekend we take on the legendary clifftop trail from Folkestone to Dover — Channel views, chalk cliffs, and a slice of wartime history all in one hike
🌲 Distance: 15 km (9.5 miles)
⛰️ Difficulty: Moderate
🌞 Weather: 23 degrees and sunny ☀️
🍻 Most likely after the hike
Along the way we’ll pass the eerie pre-WWII Abbot’s Cliff Sound Mirror and the Battle of Britain Memorial, before the coastline opens up into those famous white chalk cliffs all the way into Dover.
Train Ticket:
We will take the 9:07 AM train departing from London St Pancras International to Folkestone and return back to London from Dover Priory in the end of the hike.
Buy an open return train ticket from London St Pancras International to Dover Priory (Folkestone is a stop before Dover so while going we will get down there)
