大屯溪古道 Datun Stream Trail
Details
It's still hot so let's go to the river and waterfall and hike along the river. This is an easy hike but the trail is rugged and natural.

Total ascent/descent: 554m, 543m
Time (including breaks): 5.5 hours
Trail type: Out-and-back
Trail condition: First 2.5K - walk on the paved country road to the trail head. Dirt road along the river with big rocks. Can be slippery. Lots of pools, waterfalls, need to cross the creek at least 7 times. After the paved road it's all shady.
Gathering: 09:50am MRT Tamsui exit 1
Transfer: Bus 875 to 北新莊 (Beixinzhuang stop)
Bring:
- Lunch and snacks
- 2~3L of water (IMPORTANT!)
- Umbrella or raincoat
- Sunscreen
- Mosquito repellent
- Optional: portable charger / headlamp
Notes:
- Your shoes can get wet while crossing the creek
- The original plan may not be always followed due to weather or any other factors
- Be respectful to the nature
- Event will be canceled or postponed if bad weather
