Xizhoushan (溪洲山) is one of Taiwan's top 100 small peaks!
This mountain is close to Shihmen Reservoir, which can be seen from the trail from time to time.

🔆Distance: 10K
🔆Total ascent/descent: 666m / 525m
🔆Hiking time (including breaks): 5 hours
🔆Trail condition: Most dirt roads, some stone steps. First section is uphill all the way to the ridge then walking on the ridge with ups and downs. Finally go downhill gradually to the end.
💚Gathering: 10:20 Zhongli (中壢) train station, XingXing road (新興路) exit
🔆Transportation:
- TRA local express train #4013 (09:21 Taipei, 09:31 Banchiao --> 10:10 Zhongli). Please note that this is an express train and does not stop at all minor stations.
- Then take the taxi to the trail head (40 min, $120 each for 4 people)
🔆Return: By Uber to the train station
🔆Bring:
- Lunch and snacks (Buy the lunch in advance, no stores on the way)
- 2~3L of water (IMPORTANT!)
- Cash to split the taxi fee
- Easy card for taking train
- Umbrella or raincoat
- Sunscreen
- Mosquito repellent
- Optional: Headlamp, Portable charger
