Taipei Grand Hike section 1: 關渡-二子坪

Thanks to the forecast, turns out today is the worse weather! And it's a morning thunder storm, FIRST thunder this year!!!
Even though it will stop raining later but it won't be suitable for hiking.
Let's postpone to Sunday (Probably the forecast will be wrong again)
I have not visited this trail for 2 years and this Friday seems to be the only day for better weather this weekend, let's do it again!
We will start the hike directly from 關渡 MRT station and go all the way up to 二子坪 then take the bus down to 劍潭 MRT station. This hike will be all uphill, if you hate downhill like me then this is the one for you.

- Level: 5 / 10
- Distance: 11.5K
- Total ascent/descent: 897m! / 78m
- Time (including breaks): 4.5 hours (depending on our pace)
- Trail condition: Paved steps, dirt roads, regular roads.
*** Gathering
- 10:30am 關渡捷運站 (MRT R25, Exit 1)
- Join Line group to contact others
*** What to bring
- Lunch and snacks
- 2L~3L of water
- Easy card
- Cash to split the fee of Uber from 二子坪 IF we can't get on the bus
- Umbrella or raincoat
- Sunscreen or other ways to protect yourself from sunburn
- Mosquito repellent
- Optional: power bank and headlamp

- Bus 108 from 二子坪
- 陽明山 Terminal back to 劍潭 MRT R15 station

- Please wait for others and stay together as a group. If you are a fast hiker please prepare yourself with the offline map so you can leave earlier if you want.
