清天宮縱走天元宮賞木蓮花吉野櫻

It could be a better weather on Sunday. Let’s go checkout some cherry blossoms at the famous 天元宮 that I’ve never been to.

Sadly according to the fan page, it seems that the cherry blossoms haven’t really bloomed yet. But there could have some other flower (木蓮花) blossoms on the way.

During the flower season, there could be pack of people at the temple especially grandmas 阿公阿媽 LOL

Trial:

• Level: 3 / 5 (check the length and total ascent/descent)
• Distance: 7.16k
• Total ascent/descent: 511m/791m
• Hiking time (including breaks): 5.5 - 6 hours (depending on our group pace)
• Trail condition: Mostly paved steps, can be slippery if rained few days ago. Regular road at the end before the temple. It goes up first then all the way down.
• Highlights: Cherry blossoms (maybe)

*** Gathering ***

• 09:50am 北投捷運站 exit 1 (Beitou R22 MRT station)
• DON'T BE LATE
• Join our Line group to better find everyone

Transportation:

• Take S6 bus from Beitou MRT station to terminal stop: 清天宮
• If we cannot all fit on the bus, UBER maybe called.

Return:
• Take bus #875 back to 淡水MRT
• If we cannot find the bus back, we probably going to take UBER back

Bring:
• Lunch and snacks (Get your lunch in advance if possible)
• 1-3L of water depending on the weather
• Cash to split the UBER fee (if we can't get on the bus)
• Easy card for taking MRT (make sure you have enough balance)
• Umbrella or raincoat
• Sunscreen
• Mosquito repellent

1. We will hike as a group, if you need to leave earlier please make sure you have the proper offline hiking map to go alone. The host is not responsible for your own schedule.
