Nan'ao one day trip (南澳一日遊）

Let's spend a day exploring the natural beauty of Nan'ao (南澳), one of Taiwan's most scenic coastal towns.
We'll travel to Nan'ao by TRA Tze-Chiang Limited Express No. 270 (自強270) and spend the day exploring some of the area's best outdoor attractions, including:
- Chaoyang Trail (朝陽步道) – A scenic coastal trail with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, dramatic cliffs, and lush mountains.
- Huanshan Ecological Trail (環山生態步道) – A peaceful forest trail surrounded by rich vegetation and beautiful mountain scenery.
- Wetland Ecological Pond (濕地生態池) – A tranquil wetland area where we can observe local wildlife and enjoy the peaceful environment.
- Chaoyang Fishing Harbor (朝陽漁港) – A picturesque fishing harbor with coastal views, a good place to eat seafood.
We'll also stop at nearby beaches, scenic viewpoints, and local shops along the way.
This is an outdoor-focused meetup, so participants should be comfortable walking several kilometers on a combination of hiking trails, paved roads, and uneven paths.
Transportation: TRA Tze-Chiang Limited Express No. 270 (自強270) (check your closest train station)
Difficulty: Easy
Destination: 南澳火車站 (Nan'ao train station)
Please bring:
- Comfortable hiking shoes
- Water (at least 1–2 liters)
- Lunch or snacks
- Sunscreen and a hat
- Insect repellent
- Rain gear (depending on the weather)

Thunder storm alert: Bring umbrella or raincoat
Slippery: Be careful the stairs can be slippery if it's wet.
