Laurel Springs Gap

There is a nice view from a small cliff on the Appalachian Trail near Laurel Springs Gap. There are two main ways to reach it, from the Humpback Picnic area to the north and from the Dripping Rock Parking area to the South. Let's combine them into a little longer hike and get to enjoy the view twice.

We'll start on an short connector trail from the back of the Humpback Picnic area. Once we intersect with the AT we'll turn south and continue climbing up to the view. We'll then proceed down into the gap to the small watering holes that give it and the parking area their names. Once we reach Dripping Rock parking we'll turn around and return the way we came.

This is a moderate hike of 3.05 miles with 804 ft elevation gain.
