“Journey to Bard Lake via the Sunset Hills Trail Hike and Potluck!”

Please join us for an easier hike with an amazing close-up view of Bard Lake! We will be doing a counter-clockwise loop, followed by a clockwise loop, on which we’ll enjoy our Potluck at bench with a great view of the Lake! We’ll see and hear a plethora of flora and fauna along the route, including bunnies, red tailed hawks, quail, turkeys vultures, sticky monkey flower, elegant clarkia, bush sunflower and yuccas. Bard Lake stores over 3 billion gallons of water, named after Thomas Bard, who managed the property in the 1860’s!

Please bring water, sun glasses, hat, bug spray, layers, poles if you use them, and of course a delectable Potluck item to share with the group!
