Slither Up To Lizard Rock Potluck Party and Hike!

Hike is Approx 4.5 Miles in Length and 650’ in Elevation Gain. Rating is on the Easy Side of Moderate.

Hello Happy Hikes! Members,

Let’s try a new hike for this group in Wildwood Park. Starting from the Tennis Courts, we’ll go through the tunnel and turn right on Moonridge Trail, taking the left fork in abt a 1/4 mile. We’ll wait at the bottom of the stairs going up to the parking lot for people to catch up, continuing straight on the moonridge trail for abt a 1/2 mile, right on North Teepee Trail for abt 200’, then a left on stagecoach bluff trail, left at the junction to stay on stagecoach bluff, continuing abt 1000’ and hit the Mesa Trail fire road. We’ll make a left on mesa and gain some elevation here as we slither up the hill, passing a bench where we’ll wind up at after exploring Lizard Rock. We’ll go right up a track to Lizard, going right along the ridge, another right back to mesa and enjoy our potluck at the bench. When finished, it’s a straightforward walk back down Mesa and back to our cars.

Please bring water, hat, gloves, layers, sunglasses, bug spray, poles if you use them and most importantly a Yummy Potluck Item
to share with the group!
