Hello “Happy Hikes!” Members,
We will tackle a new hike for the group in Newbury Park. Starting from the Wendy Trailhead, we veer left at the fork and climb a steep but short hill, take the right fork a the top followed by another right fork onto the Satwiwa Loop Trail. We’ll pass restrooms at the visitor center, cross the paved road, taking the Rancho Overlook Trail about 0.8 miles, take the left fork and ascend about 3/4 mile and a right to the picnic area. We’ll party at the overlook and return to the visitor center the way we came, taking the first left after the center and return to our cars. Potluck is halfway through the hike

Please bring water, hat, layers, a stick or poles if you use them and most importantly a yummy Potluck item to share with the group!
