We are a branch of Kadampa Meditation Center Madison, and have received several requests for teachings in Milwaukee starting 2019. This Meetup will help communicate Public Talks, and Classes, and Events for our Branch teachings in Milwaukee. This is a great way to meet like-minded people. By training our mind in meditation we can learn to solve all our daily problems and bring about peace in our hearts. We can then share that peace and well-being with our family and friends. Ultimately we come to understand that we can transform our experience of the world by simply transforming our mind.
These weekly Monday classes are led by Gen Dorje, a Buddhist monk and the resident teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Madison. Classes include teaching & guided meditation.

Friday Night Talk: Loving Kindness
Kadampa Meditation Center Madison, 1825 S Park St, Madison, WI, US# Drawing Close to the Buddha of Loving Kindness
When we have a strong loving mind, our whole experience of the world changes. In addition, others feel this change and respond to it. In this very real sense, love has the power to transform our world.In this talk, Gen Dorje will guide us through this mind of love. This class can also serve as an introduction to the Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Maitreya, the embodiment of the loving kindness of all the Buddhas. In this way we begin to become someone whose love transforms the world.

Gen Kelsang Dorje is the resident teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center Madison. As the resident teacher Gen Dorje is responsible for teaching and leading meditation classes, retreats, and workshops at the center and in branch locations. He has received extensive training under the guidance of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. Gen Dorje is known for his warmth and humor in making Buddha’s teachings relevant to our modern life. He is an inspiring example of how to integrate these teachings into a joyful life and is committed to helping people improve their daily lives through meditation and mindfulness.#### Registration Details:

Members attend for free and have livestream access.
