The Forty Rules of Love is a warm, thoughtful novel about love, friendship, and faith. It moves between a modern-day story and the life of Rumi and Shams of Tabriz, blending historical fiction with Sufi wisdom.

This is not a super structured event, but generally we’ll chat about:
• the book — parts of the story/ideas/characters/writing that we found interesting, meaningful, funny, thought-provoking etc. Also, aspects of the book that maybe we didn't like!
• books, literature, reading in general.
If you feel inclined, you can bring:
• specific passages you liked
• questions or discussion prompts
• suggestions for the next book
