East Brighton Park ~4 mile circular hike

This coming Thursday evening we have some ideal walking conditions forecast - a light southerly breeze, comfortable walking temperature, and hopefully some views through broken clouds as the sun sets over to the west. The approximately 4 mile circular walk is due to start at 6pm and will be completed before sunset, which is around 8pm.

We'll start in the car park next to the East Brighton Park Cafe, walk north up into the park, and through Sheepcote Valley, eventually heading west through the community orchard. Once we pass through to the racecourse, we'll then head south through a finger of woodland, just east of Hanover. The woodland leads south towards Eastern Road, which is then a short walk back to East Brighton Park Cafe.

There are various spots to park in and around the cafe car park, as well as good regular bus links to and from the park.

This is a fairly easy going walk with mixed terrain, with some long vegetation in places, so suitable footwear and legwear is recommended.
