Let’s Build Something Together: The IE Makers Collective 🛠️

Do you have a half-finished project sitting on your workbench? An idea for a prototype that’s never left your sketchbook? Or maybe you’ve always wanted to try 3D printing or woodworking but didn't know where to start?
It’s time to get those projects across the finish line.
We are forming a new Makerspace Club right here in the Inland Empire—a community specifically for adults of all skill levels to share knowledge, collaborate on builds, and finally bring those "someday" ideas to life.

This Months Topics Include:

• Skill Ladders - mapping your own path to mastery of a skill
• WLED and Addressable LED lights - hands on activity
• A refreshing Take-Home Challenge

### Why Join Us?

This isn't just another lecture series. We are building a community where:

• Knowledge is Shared: Whether you’re a master welder or a total beginner, everyone has something to teach and something to learn.
• Challenges are Accepted: We’ll host "Maker Challenges" to spark creativity and push our skills.
• Prototypes Get Built: Get the peer support you need to troubleshoot that stubborn circuit or design.
• You Set the Goal: As a founding member, you’ll help shape our future workshops, tool acquisitions, and event calendar.

We want your voice in the room as we build this organization.

• When: The 4th Saturday of the month
• Time: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
• Where: Bourns Youth Innovation Center, Riverside, CA
• Who: Adults (18+) of all skill levels.

What to bring: Yourself, your ideas, your 'can-do' attitude, and maybe a photo or a "show-and-tell" piece of a project you’re currently working on (or stuck on!).

What to expect: We have a loosely structured meeting that may involve any of the following:

• Show and tell for projects members have made
• Lessons on a member build
• A guest speaker from another organization
• A Zoom tour/interview with another maker
• A Make-and-take workshop
• A Take-home challenge
• A field trip to another site
• An activity outside our normal meeting time
• The "free table" for things you want to give to other makers
