Urban paddle through Frankfort on the Kentucky River

Details
Life intrudes, and we can't get away for a distant voyage or stay out all day, but we can take advantage of glorious weather and virtually no current, and paddle the Kentucky River through downtown Frankfort on the last "official" weekend of summer! Afterwards, we might choose from one of Frankfort's many fun restaurants for a late lunch.
We'll put in behind the Paul Sawyier Library in downtown Frankfort (Wapping Street), and paddle upstream as far as we'd like, then return to the put in.
There's no fee for the launch ramp. There's no facilities, either, but there are restrooms in the library.
Bring all the usual stuff: pfd, hat, sunglasses, sunblock, a tolerance for power boats, hydration, snacks. Paddles in the water at 10:30 a.m. -- if you're late, go left (upstream) from the put-in to catch up.
We can't provide a rental boat, you if you want to join us, Canoe Kentucky might be able to rent you a boat. Ask them first: https://canoeky.com
