Leathercrafting 101: 4 hour workshops All materials included Adults and mature teens
July 18: 9am-1pm PROJECT: JOURNAL (6" x 9") July 18: 2-6pm PROJECT: TRAY (two 4" x 4") Work with leather smith and artist, LuAnne Malnory - she’ll take you into the world of working with leather as you learn techniques like cutting, molding, carving, stamping, and stitching. This class is for the beginner wanting an entry into the world of upcycling leather into beautifully finished products you will use and love.
JOURNAL - 6” x 9”: Students will use stamps to make unique design on journal covers, including monograms if desired; plus oil, resist and antique the surface. Hand stitching is required. If time allows, student may learn simple carving techniques.
TRAY - 2, 4" x 4". Students will make unique design on valet trays with stamps; oil, resist, plus antiquing the surface; finish and burnish the edges; and add snaps to corners.
