Mandara Yagura Caves is a place where 150 graves of high-ranking people and samurai are concentrated in the largest mountain in the Kamakura and Zushi area.
It is located in "Nagoe Kiridoshi Pass", one of the seven cuts in Kamakura and a designated national historic site, and was the most important defense base for the Kamakura Hojo clan. Walking along the hiking trail, you can take your time to see "Mandara Yagura Caves", and enjoy the atmosphere of a time slip as you walk along the large hollow (Oohoto), the important bank that stretches 300 meters, the cut bank that made it difficult to attack, and the artificial cliff that prevented enemy invasion.
Then, climb Kinuhariyama (121m). It can see Mt. Fuji and the Miura Peninsula from the observation deck.
About Kiridoshi…
Overview of the Seven Kiridoshi Passes in Kamakura.
Kamakura is surrounded by mountains on three sides, which is a very advantageous geography for defense. However, it was inconvenient to transport goods, so roads were made by cutting through the mountain ridges. These are called Kiridoshi. Kiridoshi were important not only for transportation but also for strategy as they were the entrances and exits to Kamakura, so the mansions of influential people were located in the surrounding areas. There are also flat areas called "Hiraba" built on the mountaintops and mountainsides, so try to find them👀

🎋If you have the energy, I will guide you through the bamboo grove at Hokokuji Temple, where 2,000 bamboo trees flourish.The appearance of bamboo changes depending on the season weather and time of day. Enjoy the various forms of bamboo such as the sunlight filtering through the bamboo the rainwater dripping on rainy days and the sound of the bamboo creaking as it sways in the wind.

まずは、バスを降りたら材木座にある厄除けの「長勝寺」で参拝し10分ほど歩いて名越切通ハイキングコースに入ります。

鎌倉七ヶ所切通しの概要
鎌倉は三方を山に囲まれており、防衛には非常に有利な地形です。しかし、物資の輸送には不便であったため山の尾根を切り開いて道路が作られました。これを切通しといいます。切通しは交通だけでなく鎌倉の出入り口として戦略上も重要で周辺には有力者の屋敷が置かれていました。また、山頂や山腹には「平場」と呼ばれる平らな場所が作られているので、探してみてください👀
また、大空洞(おおほうとう)と呼ばれる300メートルに渡る大切岸、攻めづらい場所にした切岸、敵の侵入を防ぐ人工的な崖などがありそこはタイムスリップした雰囲気が味わえます。
そして、衣張山（121ｍ）は、山頂からの展望は鎌倉市街と材木座、稲村ヶ崎や江ノ島が一望できます。そこでランチタイム。
そして、山を降りて10分ほど歩くと「浄妙寺」そこで畳に上がってゆっくり休みたい方は、抹茶とお菓子で枯山水庭園を眺めながらゆっくりとお過ごしください。

そして、体力に余裕があれば、報国寺の2000本もの竹が生い茂る竹林をご案内します。季節や天候、時間帯によって竹の表情は変化します。木漏れ日、雨の日の滴る雨水、風に揺れる竹のきしむ音など、様々な竹の姿をお楽しみください。

The Ultimate Shonan Coastal Walk: From Inamuragasaki to Enoshima

The Itinerary
1. The Starting Line: Inamuragasaki Park
Begin your journey at Inamuragasaki. This cliffside park is famous for being one of the best spots to view Mt. Fuji and Enoshima Island together.
2. The Golden Coast: Shichirigahama
As you walk west, you’ll hit Shichirigahama Beach. This is the heart of Japan's surf culture. The road (Route 134) runs parallel to the beach, lined with trendy cafes.
• Look out for: The Enoden Train clinking along the tracks right next to the road. It’s incredibly charming and very "Instagrammable."
• Anime Fans: You’ll pass the famous railroad crossing near Kamakurakoko-mae Station, featured in the opening of Slam Dunk. Expect a crowd of fans!
3. Local Flavors: Koshigoe Beach
Next is Koshigoe, a nostalgic fishing village. Unlike the wide-open beaches, Koshigoe has a cozy, local feel.
4. The Final Stretch: Katase Beach
You will arrive at Katase East and West Beaches. These are the most popular swimming beaches in the Kanto region.
• Follow the boardwalk toward the "Blue Door" of the Enoshima Aquarium (Enosui).
5. The Reward: Enoshima Aquarium

湘南海岸・絶景ウォーキング：稲村ヶ崎から新江ノ島水族館へ

2. 黄金の海岸線：七里ヶ浜
西に向かって歩くと、七里ヶ浜に到着します。ここは日本のサーフカルチャーの聖地。国道134号線沿いには、お洒落なカフェが立ち並びます。
• 注目ポイント： すぐ脇を走る江ノ電。レトロな車両が海岸線をトコトコ走る姿は、非常に「インスタ映え」します。
• アニメファン必見： アニメ『SLAM DUNK（スラムダンク）』のオープニングに登場する「鎌倉高校前駅」横の踏切も通ります。世界中からファンが集まる超人気スポットです。
3. 漁師町の風情：腰越（こしごえ）海岸
続いては、どこか懐かしい漁師町の雰囲気漂う腰越へ。
4. ゴール：片瀬海岸
いよいよ片瀬海岸に到着。関東を代表する人気の海水浴場です。
・海岸沿いの遊歩道を歩き、青い屋根が目印の新江ノ島水族館（えのすい）を目指しましょう。
