Hydrangea 1st☝️ Meigetsui, tatami garden＆ Soba Restaurant

＊〜Recently, around Kamakura has been very crowded〜＊
So How about for see the hydrangea here?This is 1st series☝️

“Meigetsuin Temple”is famous as a hydrangea. There are about 2,500 hydrangeas. The ancient Japanese variety Hime-ajisai is a vivid deep indigo color called "Meigetsuin Blue", and you can enjoy various colors and types of hydrangeas. In addition to usually closed to the public, but it’s open to during this season of Japanese irises🪻🤔
And we head to “Choju-ji Temple”, a hidden gem in Kita-Kamakura. This is a temple that is only open on weekends and sunny days, it’s known only to those in the know🆒 It is a place where you can quietly view the Japanese garden while sitting on tatami mats🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻
And for lunchtime!! How about “nagashi somen noodles”at a soba restaurant? (🥢See below the explanation)
After eat, we pass through the atmospheric “Kamegatani Kiridoshi”and visit “Jufuku-ji Temple”. Here is the grave of Hojo Masako, the wife of the Kamakura shogun⚔️. It will be take about 15-minute hike up the mountain behind it. We head to Genjiyama Park, and see a statue of Minamoto no Yoritomo the founder of Kamakura, and then our final stop is “Zeniarai Benzaiten”🙌

最近は、鎌倉周辺は大変混み合います。まず、あじさいの第一弾としてコレ☝️
あじさい寺として有名な「明月院」。約2500株のあじさいがあります。日本古来の品種であるヒメアジサイは鮮やかな濃い藍色で「明月院ブルー」と呼ばれ様々な色と種類のあじさいが堪能できます。また、普段は非公開のハナショウブ開花期には公開されます。
そして、北鎌倉の隠れ家「長寿寺」に向かいます。ここは知る人ぞ知る週末限定、晴れている日だけ公開されるお寺です。日本庭園を畳の上に座って静かに見ることができる場所です。
そして、ランチは、蕎麦屋さんで流しそうめんはいかがでしょうか？(🥢下側にある説明を参考)
食べたあとは、雰囲気漂う亀ヶ谷切通しを通り「寿福寺」を参拝。ここには、鎌倉の将軍の妻北条政子さんのお墓があります。そして、裏山を登って15分ほどのハイキング。鎌倉を作った源頼朝像のある源氏山公園へ向かい、ラストスパートは銭洗弁財天です。

The noodles go down on a water slide of made of bamboo and cache noodles with chopsticks when they are in front of you. Dip noodles into a cool dipping sauce😋
