Despite being located at the very tip of the Miura Peninsula, Kannonzaki is only a 40-minute bus ride from Yokosuka Station. Known as the gateway to Tokyo Bay, its location at the edge offers panoramic views of the Boso Peninsula and Tokyo Bay. You can see rare tankers and large ferries, truly realizing that you're at the gateway to Tokyo Bay.
Kannonzaki Coast also has a diverse range of rocky and sandy beaches, as well as a quiet beach surrounded by rocky mountains. If you're planning on swimming, be sure to bring your swimsuit. After your hike, eat the lunch you brought with you, then walk about 10 minutes to a stylish art museum right in front of the sea.

観音崎は、三浦半島の一番端にあるにも関わらず、横須賀駅からバスで40分だけで行ける場所です。東京湾の玄関口と言われ端にあるので房総半島、東京湾を一望できます。珍しいタンカーや大型フェリーを眺められ東京湾の玄関にあることが実感できます。
また、観音崎海岸は、変化に富んだ岩場と砂浜があり、岩山に囲まれた静かなビーチもあります。せっかくなので、泳ぎたい方は水着を持って来てください。そして、ハイキングの後は、持ってきたランチを食べて、その後は歩いて10分ほどで海の目の前にあるおしゃれな美術館に行きましょう。
