Details
First we’ll relax and socialize. Tea and basic snacks will be on hand.
Then, down to business. Tell us as much or as little of your story as you’d like. Whether the problems are major, minor, or only suspected, a safe space free of judgment will be there for you to discuss your situation, and talk about what you may have done so far by way of change or recovery.
After that we will understand mindfulness very thoroughly, and begin applying it to our attitudes and understandings about ourselves, our susceptibilities to external triggers that stimulate our problem behaviors, and to the strategies we need to learn to function more effectively.
Another goal of the group is to form a supportive community of “recovering seekers” who appreciate philosophical and spiritual approaches to addiction-related problems.
