Nowing Collective is a creative studio in Barcelona for people who want to make things, explore creative interests, learn new skills and meet like-minded people.
Whether you have a project you’ve been meaning to work on, a creative interest you want to explore, a skill you’d like to learn or simply want to spend more time doing mindful, intentional activities beyond work and your usual routine, Nowing gives you a dedicated space to do it.
Think of it as a place to bring your ideas, get stuck into projects, experiment with different materials, discover new interests and spend time with people who are interested in similar things.

## What happens at a session?

Each session lasts 2 hours and brings together a small group of people in our shared creative studio. You'll have 90 minutes of independent creative time, followed by 30 minutes to come together, chat and share what you’ve been working on.
There’s no set class, no single activity everyone has to follow and no pressure to produce, present or finish anything. The time is yours to use.

You can:

• Use our Project Starters if you want some direction or inspiration. These are set activities to follow if you'd like some guidance.
• Bring your own personal project and work on that - from writing, drawing and painting to photography, music, design or something else entirely.
• Explore an idea you’ve been thinking about or start something new.
• Learn a skill or experiment with a creative medium you haven’t tried before.
• Read, write, sketch, make a collage, play with music or work through an idea.
• Meet people, exchange ideas and see what others are working on.

You can arrive with a clear plan or absolutely no idea what you want to do yet.

## What's in the studio?

We’re building a space with resources to help you get started and try different things, including:

• Art materials: paper, pencils, pens, paints, pastels and collage supplies.
• Music equipment: including MIDI keyboards and DJ equipment.
• A growing library: books, essays and other references around ideas, philosophy and culture.
• Project Starters: original prompts created by Nowing Collective to help you explore ideas, writing, making and music.
• Tea and coffee: Included & unlimited.

Bring your own laptop, notebook, sketchbook, books, materials or anything else you need for your project - or feel free to simply use the studio's resources (access to all our resources and materials is included).

## Who is it for?

Nowing is for anyone who wants to make more time for what matters to them. You might be working on a novel, getting back into drawing, learning to make music, working on a design project, editing photography, developing a creative business idea, perhaps you enjoy collage-making or simply exploring ideas and getting creatively inspired through reading, writing and journaling. Or simply looking for something mindful, yet social, to do in the city.

You don’t need to be a professional artist, work in a creative field, have a particular skill level or know what you want to work on. Nowing is an inclusive space for all interests, experience levels and abilities, whether you’re picking up an old hobby, exploring something new or making progress on a project you care about.

Come on your own or book with a friend. Most people come on their own. Sessions are a way to meet people in Barcelona outside the usual work, drinks and nightlife routines. Everyone works on their own thing, but you’re doing it alongside others, sharing a space with people who have their own interests, ideas and projects. Conversations and connections can happen naturally along the way.
Whether you’re interested in creativity, art, music, writing, reading, learning, mindfulness or simply spending time doing something meaningful with other people, there’s a place for you at Nowing.

## Session details & booking

• Duration: 120 minutes
• Format: 90 minutes of independent creative time + 30 minutes to come together, chat and share
• Group size: Maximum 10 people
• Location: Poblenou, Barcelona
• Price: €12 per session, with multi-session passes also available.

Sessions must be booked in advance.
Sessions run every Tuesday & Thursday evening from 19.00-21.00 and Saturday afternoon from 14.00-16.00. Choose a slot that works for you.
