Richard Lane will be your prompter and teacher. If you came to our first one in January, he is the one who did circles!

What is a barn dance you might ask? Well, many years ago before computers, TV, cars, and maybe electricity, people in the community would gather in someone's barn or a community hall, musicians, kids, Mom and Dad, Grandparents, etc, and the musicians would play music and someone would prompt members to dance some type of choreographed figures. The prompter would teach the figures a couple of times and then the dancers would just dance! Kids and adults alike would join the circles, squares, or lines. it was an opportunity for neighbors to get together, catch up with the town's going on, share a meal.

Now life is complicated but we are trying to recreate that community! Won't you join us?

Join us for a night of fun, laughter, and meeting new people. No experience is needed! $10 PP and family rates are available. All ages welcome. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Feel free to bring goodies to share. Coffee for 50 cents will be available.
