Networks of meanings

In this Write it out meeting, we will explore how meaning in writing goes beyond the literal definition of words.

We will begin with a short recap and optional sharing from our previous session, followed by a guided brainstorming activity. Together, we will reflect on how words can sound and feel different depending on the reader, the context, and the intention behind them. What kind of tone do we want our writing to carry? How do certain words create particular impressions or atmospheres?

From there, we will develop these ideas further by looking at associations, connotations, and the subtle layers of meaning that shape how writing is received. Through short exercises and discussion, we will have the opportunity to experiment with these elements in our own writing and observe how small choices can influence voice and style.

As always, there will be dedicated writing time, optional sharing, and space for reflection in a supportive, pressure free environment.
No preparation is required. Just bring something to write with and a willingness to explore.

Sessions are led in English. You are welcome to write in any language you feel comfortable with.

We will be meeting at Vearte Galería, a relaxed and creative space in Alicante. The venue asks for a 3 euro contribution, which includes a drink and helps support the gallery.
