Pride Bigger Than Texas

Every year the San Antonio LGBTQIA Community celebrates pride month in late June and SAFE has always been there to support friends and others who are part of the community.
We will be there to show our support. If you'd like to join us, we will attend the Day Festival & Night Parade. There will be tons of informational booths with many local and surrounding area organizations, and some giving out lots of freebies! Who doesn't like FREE STUFF! Also if you've never seen a Live Drag Show, here's your chance to do so with other like-minded folks from SAFE.
SAFE group has attended Pride Bigger Than Texas for the last 6-7 years.

First we will meet as doors open at 11:00am at our usual spot, watch live entertainment on stage & walk around. Then by 2:00pm we will walk down the street to Subway to cool off. After we eat, we will stake our Parade seating spot. We will have a canopy, ice chests and snacks. If you're planning on joining us, we ask everyone to pitch in by bringing something to share for everyone.
It's usually a very hot day, so bring sunscreen, fans, and anything else you need to stay cool.

SAC usually has parking in two garages for a fee.
You can find Free parking alongside curbs in the neighborhood as well and there are other parking spaces around neighborhood, but you need to get there early.
Parade is Free to attend.
Things to consider bringing:
Day Festival: (admission)
*lawn chairs
*small clear bags(see rules)
Food & Cold drinks will be sold at park.

Night Parade:
*ice chests
*cold drinks/beverages(No bottles)
*chairs
*food/snacks & munchies to share with everyone
*bring Rainbow toys/stuff(optional)
Jase will have his canopy, we just ask Everyone bring your own chair.
Also, Pride Parade will hold their annual "High Heel Race". So, get to parade early to witness Guys, Gals and others run in high heels down Main Street for a prize! The public is welcome to participate, but you'll have to sign a waiver. For more information, see Pride website.
This is San Antonio's Annual Pride Festival & Parade. Be sure to wear your Rainbow attire! Or purchase at day festival with many booths selling stuff.
We will be attending all day/night. Come prepared.
Gates open at 11am.
Arrive early as it gets packed and lines get long.
