Labyrinth Canyon Memorial Canoe Cruise

Details

Let's celebrate those who sacrificed everything for us and our freedom by living our best lives!
Join us on a Memorial Weekend canoe trip down the Labyrinth Canyon section of the Green River.
We will float approximately 68 miles from Green River State Park to Mineral Bottom, our take out point.
We'll start by meeting at Green River State Park Thursday evening where we have a group campsite reserved. We will launch Friday, camp at a different location on the river each night and finally, come Monday afternoon we'll be at Mineral Bottom.
This section of river is class 1. Although previous canoe experience is helpful, this is beginner friendly.
We will try to average 17 miles per day. Some days will be longer than others. I anticipate that we will be on the water 4 to 5 hours per day with an hour or so lunch break worked in somewhere.
There are many points of interest along the way to stop and see... in case the river and scenery weren't enough.
Average daytime temperatures in the 80's and lows in the 50's can be expected.
Be prepared to get in and out of the water regularly.
We WILL practice Leave No Trace.
WAG bags will be provided.
Filtering water is possible, but problematic. It is recommended you bring 1 gallon of drinking water per day.
Bring your own meals and camping gear.
While compact, lightweight backpacking type camping gear works better, the canoes can facilitate a little bit of your bulkier stuff.
I will have a packing list for participants, and I will plan a pre trip meeting sometime a few weeks before we go.
This is limited to 15 people, and maybe a well behaved dog or two. Bring a friend.
The cost for this trip is $245 per person.
This includes the shuttle, boat rental, WAG bags, campsite, and dry bags, coolers, any other gear you might need.
A $50 deposit will secure your spot. Venmo @BendingWillow Excursions and comment Labyrinth Canyon Memorial.
