What we’re about

With vehicle purchase in mind, I thought I would start an activities group for folks with an interest in the outdoors like myself with consideration for the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges aside from lower foot hills. There are hot springs located at a couple places, but don’t know too much about them. My ideal meetup would start early in the day fed and ready for a trek with an idea of a late lunch after that. I like the idea of being the primary driver with an upcoming vehicle purchase in mind, but don’t mind helping designate until then. I know REI offers snow shoe rentals aside from small group tours and don’t mind incorporating them if I need be. I’m a vegetarian of many years and am somewhat environmentally conscious. I’m open to solos like myself, students, visitors, and accountability with healthy lifestyle in mind.

Snoqualmie Falls Winter Hike

Day hike at Snowqualmie Falls: I think the trail condition mandates durable shoes, but doubt we’ll see snow so low in the range. Snowqualmie Falls is a nice begginer hike to the bottom a little less than a mile, but is somewhat steep. I plan on having at least 3-4 seats available in a ride share, but may need another volunteer driver if interests goes past. I live at the Elizabeth James House on Capitol Hill and have a parking lot behind the building with a couple benches that make it a suitable meetup spot instead of the trailheadd itself. I’ve previously been a part off other meetup groups tied to raw foods, activitities, and environmental causes and thought I would try hosting my own with new found stability in mind. If this meetup goes well, I will considerder one weekly with a lunch or dinner afterwards in mind. I usually have a few snacks on me, but encourage that everyone be prepared to carry their own weight aside from contributing to where my lack is.
