🌍 What’s this event about?
Behind every number in cancer statistics, there’s a child. And behind every child with cancer, there is a family learning to live through the hardest chapter of their lives.
This is not just a run. It’s a day of community and giving back. All proceeds will go to AFANOC, supporting children affected by cancer and their families.
Through this Charity Run, we want to do more than raise funds: we want to connect Barcelona’s digital nomad and international community with a meaningful local cause, showing that together, we can make a real difference.
Every donation, every kilometer, and every drop of sweat from this Charity Run will help to keep that house open, those families supported, and those smiles alive.
On this day we will not run just for ourselves, we will run for them. 🧡
We’re also celebrating the official launch of Nomad Sports Club, the new sports hub created by Barcelona Digital Nomads.

Distance: 5K social run along Barceloneta beach & port

🎉 After the Run – Charity Village
We’ll have an AFANOC stand inside La Carioca where you’ll be able to donate by purchasing charity vouchers or buying raffle tickets for bigger prizes.
Each voucher represents a special offer from local partners — gyms, yoga and pilates studios, running clubs, paddle or surf schools, massage therapists, nutrition brands, and more — all offering their services at a solidarity discount (for example, 20% off a day pass, class pack, or rental).
All the money collected through these vouchers will go directly to AFANOC, helping fund their incredible work with children and families affected by cancer.
You’ll also find AFANOC’s own solidarity souvenirs designed by local artists available for purchase at the stand.

🎗️ About AFANOC
AFANOC (Associación de Familias y Amigos de Niños Oncológicos de Cataluña) was created by parents who once sat in hospital rooms, facing uncertainty, exhaustion, and fear, and decided that no family should go through that alone.
Today, AFANOC supports children and their families from the moment of diagnosis. They offer emotional, social, and practical help, providing accommodation close to hospitals through “La Casa dels Xuklis”, a welcoming home where families can stay together while their child receives treatment. They also organize activities to bring moments of joy, normality, and hope to kids who deserve to smile again.
A few weeks ago, we had the chance to visit La Casa dels Xuklis. It was impossible not to feel moved. Seeing the strength of those families, the warmth of the volunteers, and the love that fills every corner of that place left a lasting impression on us. It reminded us of what real community looks like and the good that can be done when we join forces for a good cause.
