Challenging Postmodernism

Details
Many people today reject the notion of "objective truth" and argue instead that "truth" is socially constructed and varies fro one culture or community to another. Indeed, the establishment of such a conception of truth is supposed to be one of the principal achievements of "postmodernism", as is skepticism about the ability of modern science to transcend such limitations of subjectivity and of culture. This book defends the idea of objective truth and attempts to show that doing so is a matter of considerable political importance. We will finish Chapters 8 & 9 in Challenging Postmodernism by David Detmer and then consider this paper by John Bellamy Foster: https://monthlyreview.org/2023/02/01/the-new-irrationalism/ as well as these two discussions on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH2TfECsEsw & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6H7RfzgyMA
I have a few ideas on which direction to go after we finish the current book by David Detmer. Please take a look at the following options, or suggest your own in the comments.
