We will be reading F.W.J. Schelling's Philosophical Investigations into the Essence of Human Freedom, aka the 'Freedom Essay'.

This will be your humble host's *third* time through the work, and he thinks he has a pretty strong grasp of the text at this point. So this group will be less of a 'let's figure out this text together' group, as is usually the case, and more of a 'Keith thinks he already know what's up and can explain it to you'. We'll see how it goes :). As such, you might personally find it enriching to have read the section of the text we are on beforehand, but your host does not care if you have done so.

We will be using the SUNY translation by Love and Schmidt. There are two other translations, and I see no point in referencing them. https://germanidealism.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/schelling-fs-english.pdf

I'm not sure what our pace will be at this point, but we will ignore the preface and start on the main text.
