"I am not a JavaScript developer. I am from the world of PHP, Laravel and Symfony. It's not often you see this sphere of tech influencing others, but sometimes, just -sometimes- you come across something where that -is- happening.
Coming in blindly into the world of nodejs development is a steep barrier to entry, especially if you are used to the likes of PHP's Laravel, Python's Django or Ruby on Rails taking care of the heavy lifting for you, and written in an opinionated way. So -hear me out here- what if there was a nodejs framework that -was- written like these?
World, meet AdonisJS. In this talk I'll dive into the philosophy behind it, and why the answer to whether you should use it is my favourite engineering phrase: "it depends"."
