Hi All - Thank you for those that attended the first meetup group of Knowing God! I enjoyed our conversation and look forward to additional discussions on God. As this is an evolving group and as others join I can adapt our meetup group topics/ideas, for this meeting we can start with a couple of questions to get the conversation going (listed below); and then transition to two different parables in Scripture for further thoughts.

I hope everyone has a great upcoming week and look forward to seeing those who attended again and meeting new people! As a friendly reminder, this group is open to anyone that has questions on God, purpose, life, etc. My hope is these themes come up naturally as we talk though the opening questions and readings.

Opening Discussion Questions:

  1. What or who do you think God should be?
  2. Discuss what you believe God's attributes to be?
  3. What is your favorite attribute about God?

For the next part of the meetup group we will read through the following two parables and have a discussion on each. Please see below the Parable and the verses:

  1. The Rich Man and the Beggar (Luke 16:19-31)
  2. Parable of the Vineyard Workers (Matthew 20:1-16)

If there's time we can read through Psalm for a closing prayer time (for those that wish to participate):

  1. Psalm 51 (Theme: David's plea for mercy, forgiveness and cleansing)

Look forward to the meetup! Please reach out to me with any questions.

Dan
