Hi All - Hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for those that attended the first couple of meetup events of Knowing God! I enjoyed our conversation and look forward to additional discussions on God. As this is an evolving group and as others join I can adapt our meetup group topics/ideas, for this meeting we can start with a couple of questions to get the conversation going (listed below); and then transition to two different stories in Scripture for further thoughts.

As a friendly reminder, this group is open to anyone that has questions on God, purpose, life, etc. My hope is these themes come up naturally as we talk though the opening questions and readings.

Opening Discussion Questions:

  1. What is a "sin"?
  2. What is eternal life?

For the next part of the meetup group we will read through the following two stories and have a discussion on each. Please see below the verses:

  1. The Rich Young Ruler (Luke 18:18-30)
  2. Jesus Brings Salvation to Zacchaeus' Home (Luke 19:1-10)
