The Emotionally Absent Mother: A Guide to Self-Healing and Getting the Love You Missed by Jasmin Lee Cori | Goodreads

9:30-10am: Settling-in with coffee and tea

Meeting starts at 10am

**ACA is a peer-support group for those people who are healing from the effects of being brought up in an alcoholic or dysfunctional household. This can include neglect, mental illness and outright abuse. A few family types have been identified here: https://adultchildren.org/newcomer-family-types/**

We meet in Room 106. The room is located immediately to the left as you enter the building through the double north doors that face the parking lot.

Note that each week we will be reading from texts that fall outside the formally published texts from ACA.

The Power of the Meeting
At the heart of ACA is our commitment to meeting with one another. We understand that recovery cannot happen in isolation. By coming together, we:

  • Learn and grow using inspiring literature
  • Practice new behaviors leading to happier, more functional lives
  • Develop and hone essential relationship skills
  • Find safe environments to work through lifelong issues
  • Heal through connection with others who share similar experiences

**If you are new to ACA you can find more information on the website at www.adultchildren.org**

If you need to reach me before Saturday , you can call or text me at 609-433-9227.
