The Big Broadland Litter Pick with OutThere!

Join us for an afternoon environmental action with the OutThere community! As part of The Big Broadland Litter Pick, OutThere is hosting a cleanup, on land and water, to help keep our Thorpe St Andrew waterways and walkways pristine.
We’ll be tackling the trash on foot or by paddleboard!

The Details
When: Saturday, 30th May
Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (an hour of litter picking followed by a catch-up and a picnic after on the green)
Meeting Point: The River Green, Thorpe St Andrew (Next to the Rushcutters Arms).
Choose Your Mission
Option 1: Paddleboarding (limited spots)
Launching from the nearby Horsewater, take to the water on a paddleboard to skim the riverbanks and reach those tricky spots.
Note: For safety reasons, you must be a confident paddleboarder to join this group.
Option 2: On foot
We’ll be heading out in a walking group to tidy the paths, parks, and streets around Thorpe.

What You Need to Know
Equipment: We’ve got you covered! All litter pickers, hoops, and bags will be provided by OutThere.
Wear: Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear (sturdy trainers or boots for walkers; water-safe gear for paddlers). If you're paddleboarding, please bring a spare set of clothes, in case you get wet!

Once the hard work is done, we’ll reconvene at the River Green for a catch-up.
Bring snacks and a drink or grab a treat from the River Green Café!
