OutThere Historic Walking Tour

The ‘Underworld’ of Norwich Cathedral
Historian and heritage interpreter, Colin Howey, invites you to join him for a walk exploring the ‘underworld’ of Norwich Cathedral and the surrounding area. With a particular emphasis on folk who challenged authority, our curious wander will lead us to an over-zealous friar and a seventeenth century ‘singing man’ (choirister) who did something ‘most beastly’ during a cathedral service.

Meet us at The Lions' Den River, ready to set off for the tour at 10am. Arrive a little earlier if you want to grab a takeaway drink for the walk.

The tour will take approximately 1 hour and will start and finish at The Lions' Den River.

Please note that this tour will include steps. You cannot park at The Lions' Den River; parking can be found at St Helen's Wharf or across the bridge on Riverside Road.
