Moderately Easy Hike to a Waterfall: Gabes Mountain Trail to Hen Wallow Falls

Come enjoy the autumn weather as we visit Hen Wallow Falls. From the Cosby Picnic Area, we will follow Gabes Mountain Trail to the 60-ft tall Falls. At 2 miles and after a steep descent, we will reach the Falls. Return the same way.
Total hike distance is 4.4 miles round trip, rated Moderately Easy with 900 feet of elevation gain.

Our Moderate hikes are: 5-10 miles and/or elevation change of 1000-1800', on-trail hiking. Hikers should be regularly hiking 5+ miles with 400-500 feet of continuous elevation gain over a mile, at a 2.0-2.5 mph pace.
