Saturday Appalachian Trail Work Trip
Details
Join us on Saturday March 7 for the first Saturday work hike of the year at Yellow Creek Gap in the Nantahala National Forest. The hike is rated easy to moderate. From the parking area, we will hike 3-5 miles to areas needing treadway work. Along the way, we will cut back any vegetation that is crowding the corridor as necessary. In addition to bringing water and lunch, please bring gloves and eye protection, sturdy shoes and long sleeves. For regular pre-hike prep, please visit https://www.smhclub.org/Preparing-for-a-Hike
