Brooklyn Fine Arts Society

This is a group for anyone who works in the fine arts industry, or who makes art as a serious hobby. It will be primarily a social networking group, but may include some outings to check out gallery shows, art fairs, take a class together (screen printing, ceramics, whatever) or get involved in the community somehow. I would also love to set up mentor/mentee relationships for emerging and established artists, if that is of interest to anyone else. I'm a self-taught portrait artist and would love to get to know and learn from other artists in the area.

Most events will be in held in Brooklyn, but anyone is welcome :)
