Festive Sunday Assembly
Details
We invite you to our extra special festive Sunday Assembly, taking place at the later date of Sunday 14th December at 10:45am for an 11am start. There’ll be the chance to stay a bit longer until 12:30pm, to enjoy a bring and share lunch. This is a great assembly to bring along friends, family and children that don’t normally attend; all are welcome!
Things will look a bit different this month as we put our regular running order to one side to make way for the festivities…
Secret Santa book swap:
Participation is easy; wrap up and bring along a book to add to Santa’s sack; it can be one you’ve already read or one you buy (from a charity shop if you can!). Then choose a book gift to take home with you.
Write a letter, change a life:
One of our members Kirstie will briefly introduce us to the Amnesty International’s Write for Rights campaign, which identifies people around the world whose human rights have been violated. There’ll be the opportunity to write and send a card, letter or even create some artwork if you wish, to one of these people, to show support and solidarity. All materials will be provided.
Quiz:
The committee will be leading a fun and festive quiz, we promise it'll be easier than last year's!
Bring and Share lunch:
Please bring along a food or drink contribution if you can and let’s all enjoy a buffet style lunch together.
There’ll also be lots of time for the usual highlights of community, conversation and singing. We hope you can make this one to celebrate the start of the season together.
See you there!
