Yes, a new professional baseball team called the Long Beach Coast (with an alternate identity as the Long Beach Regulators) is launching in Long Beach, CA, for the 2026 season. The team will play in the independent Pioneer Baseball League at Blair Field, with the season starting in spring 2026.

Key details about the new team include:
- Identity: The team uses a dual identity, featuring the "Long Beach Coast" as the primary name and "Long Beach Regulators" for select games, partly inspired by rapper Warren G.
- League & Venue: They are part of the Pioneer Baseball League (an MLB Partner League) and will play at Blair Field.
- Coaching Staff: The team is managed by former MLB pitcher Troy Percival, with Troy Glaus and Jerome Williams as assistant coaches.
- Inaugural Season: The season is scheduled to begin in May 2026.
