**Weekend Itinerary (Subject to Adjustments for the Best Experience!)**

**Thursday – Arrival in Málaga**
Arrive **after 6pm**, and we’ll **pick you up at Málaga Airport**. You can arrive earlier and we will see how we can help you.
If you'd like to arrive the day before and settle in early, just let us know—extra nights can be arranged privately for a small additional fee.

**Friday – CAMINITO DEL REY**
Caminito del Rey, or The King's Little Path, is one of the most popular hiking trails in Malaga. Much of the hike stretches along narrow walkways that hug cliffsides and cross gorges. Unsurprisingly, this route had a dangerous reputation, but it has become safe after restoration work in 2015.
At 7.7 km and with few climbs, Caminito del Rey is a relatively easy hike that takes around 2-3 hours to complete and is led by a local guide who will teach the history of this canyon.
If you prefer not to do this walk, you can join me on another walk in the region with beautiful views of the lakes.
We return to Malaga with time to spare to visit the beach as the sun sets.

**Saturday – GRANADA'S CANYON**
**Hiking Route:** Los Cahorros de Monachil
**Distance:** \~8 km loop (5 miles)
**Elevation Gain:** \~250 meters
**Duration:** \~3 hours (adjustable)
**Difficulty:** Moderate – includes suspension bridges and narrow cliffside paths

Get ready for a hike that feels like an Indiana Jones-style adventure—minus the snakes! 🐍
We’ll head to the lush green canyons of Monachil, just outside Granada, for one of Andalusia’s most thrilling yet accessible hikes. The trail winds along a river gorge, through hanging bridges, tunnels, rocky overhangs, and forested paths. You’ll squeeze through narrow rock corridors and cross several **swaying suspension bridges** over the gorge (some high, some low)—it’s all safe, but **you’ll need a head for heights** and a bit of courage!

We'll stop for snacks and photos at the river, admire waterfalls tucked between canyon walls, and enjoy the peaceful buzz of birdsong and flowing water before looping back to the village.

**Sunday – Beach & Málaga City Exploration**

* Start the morning with breakfast and **beach time** – relax, swim, or just enjoy the Mediterranean sun.
* **Visit Málaga City on a self guided tour**, exploring its vibrant **historic centre, Moorish fortresses, and local markets**.
* **Flight home:** Anytime, but preferably **after 6 PM** so you can make the most of your last day!

**What to Bring?**
**Hiking shoes**, or **strong trainers** (trails can be rocky and uneven!)
A **waterproof jacket** (just in case!)
**Sunglasses** & a sun **hat** 😎
A **swimsuit** (for those who dare to take a dip in the sea!)
Pack **light** but smart— Spain’s weather is mostly warm, but nights can be **cold**!

**Meeting Point & Travel Info**
**Meeting Point:** **Málaga Airport** (we will pick you up)
**Returning Flights:** Please **book after 4 or 6 PM** for a relaxed departure.

**Final Trip Info & Group Chat**
A **WhatsApp group** will be set up **a few days before departure** for updates, travel tips, and connecting with other women before the trip—break the ice, share travel plans, and get excited together!
