About us
Once a month we open a case file and try to solve a murder.
Here's how it works: you get the documents an investigator would get — witness statements, interviews, forensic reports, photographs, phone records, floor plans. Then you work. You read the statements against each other, build a timeline, measure the physical evidence, and decide whose account holds up. By the end of the evening, we name a suspect and see how we did.
A few things this is not. It's not roleplay — nobody plays a character, nobody wears a hat, nobody speaks in a voice. There are no word puzzles, no ciphers, no codes to crack. The only thing standing between you and the solution is the evidence itself, and the people in it.
It's also built to be fair. Every fact you need is printed in the files. Nothing is withheld from you except by the witnesses and suspects — some of whom lie, and lie well. Catching them is the game.
No experience needed. If you like modern mysteries, true crime, or the particular satisfaction of noticing that two people can't both be telling the truth, you'll fit right in. Most of us came for the puzzle and stayed for the company — the arguing over who's lying is half the fun, and the friendships tend to follow.
We provide everything: the case files, the table, the pens. Bring your own picnic gear for the park.
