What we’re about
This meetup is for anyone who wants to learn public speaking and leadership skills in a friendly, fun, and safe environment. We are part of Toastmasters International and follow the meeting structure of toastmasters clubs all over the world. Members start by helping during meetings by timing speeches, practicing impromptu speaking, and giving a 4-6 minute speech about themselves. Komen Toastmasters has been meeting in the Southwest Community for over 20 years. We were founded to help people speak up about breast cancer; many of the original members were involved with the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure.
