What we’re about

Have a skill? You can make a difference.
Whether you’re a nurse, artist, developer, athlete, cook, or simply someone who enjoys helping others—this trip is for you.

Olutindo means bridge, and we’re building one between people in Boston (and beyond) and rural communities in Uganda—through skills, shared culture, and life-changing connections.

We bring together travelers, volunteers, and creatives to:
Teach practical skills to children, youth, and families
Support community-driven projects in farming, crafts, health, and entrepreneurship
Enjoy an authentic Ugandan experience—while leaving a legacy of empowerment

Every Skill Counts

No degree or experience level required.
If you have a talent, hobby, or profession, we’ll find a meaningful way for you to contribute:
Soap Making & Pottery – Share skills to help families earn income
Sports & Dance – Boost youth confidence through physical movement
Nutrition & Hygiene – Teach basic wellness and community health
Coding & Mobile Literacy – Spark curiosity and new career dreams
Crafts & Art – Celebrate creativity as a tool for healing and growth
Finance & Budgeting – Help adults and teens build economic independence
Gardening & Goat Farming – Explore sustainable food production
Leadership & Communication – Host soft-skill sessions that shape futures

If you can do it—we’ll help you teach it.

Bonus: Safari & Travel Add-On

Your trip includes an optional wildlife safari for as low as $100—an unforgettable experience where you’ll:
Visit national parks like Queen Elizabeth or Lake Mburo
See elephants, lions, zebras, and more in their natural habitat
Take scenic drives through Uganda’s lush countryside

And for the more adventurous?
We offer optional travel extensions to Rwanda, Kenya, or Tanzania to explore more of East Africa’s magic—from the Maasai Mara to Zanzibar.
