Hike Alkmaar - Bergen - Alkmaar (13 km loop)

Hike: Alkmaar - Bergen - Alkmaar (13 km round trip)

Please join us on our upcoming hike from Alkmaar station to Bergen on Saturday August 2nd.

We meet at the fountain at the center side of Alkmaar central station at 12.45 hrs so we can start on time.

We will follow the green route which takes us along De Loterijlanden, a countryside that is protected and maintained by Natuurmonumenten. These lands were not popular with the farmers in the past and therefore handed over by lotary.

The lands are filled with high grass and special flower species. This attracks many bird species.

Halfway we can have a drink/snack at the terrace of restaurant Het Hof in Bergen. It is located in the middle of the forest of Bergen. Please note that the group is too big to have lunch there. Please bring your own to eat underway.

We will walk at a relaxed pace. Dogs are unfortunately not allowed.

Afterwards it’s time to unwind with an optional drink in the center of Alkmaar.
